Township Extends Grant to Community Groups and Organizations for Canada 150 Events

Council has approved the extension of the Canada 150 Community Grant to the end of July.

The grant is available to community groups and organizations in the Madawaska Valley who are planning events to celebrate Canada’s birthday.

Recreation and Community Development Coordinator Paul Nopper says only two groups applied for the funding and there’s still $1,800 available.

Groups and organizations can apply directly through the township or online.
