Parents can mark their calendars; their kids will be heading back to school on September 5th for the 2017-2018 school year.
The Ministry of Education has approved dates for the next school year for both the Hastings and Prince Edward and the Algonquin & Lakeshore Catholic district school boards, which wraps up on June 29th.
But students can look forward to some time off during the school year as well.
There are seven PA days, two weeks of Christmas break starting on December 25th, and a week of Mid-winter break starting on March 12th.
