Township to Come up with Sandbag Disposal Plan

The Township of Madawaska Valley says it has plans to dispose of sandbags if you’re still holding onto them since the recent flooding.

Mayor Kim Love says if you have waterlogged sandbags they may be contaminated and recommends not dumping that sand on shorelines.

So far Operations hasn’t received any calls for sandbag disposal as some residents may be reusing the sand in the wintertime.
