Severe Thunderstorm Watch in Effect for Renfrew County

A severe thunderstorm watch has been called by Environment Canada for the region.

The national forecaster says the weather is expected to turn quickly this afternoon.

The watch could be upgraded to a warning heading into tonight as more rain is expected this evening.

Barry’s Bay, Killaloe, Pembroke, Cobden, Petawawa, Renfrew, Calabogie and Arnprior are included in the affected areas.
