Killaloe-Hagarty-Richards considering by-law to approve ballot questions

Killaloe-Hagarty-Richards township council will be considering passing a by-law at their meeting tomorrow to approve the inclusion of two questions on this year’s municipal election ballot.

The proposed questions would ask residents if they are in favour of having four councillors and a mayor, a reduction in the current council size, and whether they are in favour of abolishing the ward system.

The township held a public meeting to get feedback on the questions last week before the by-law consideration.

A copy of the proposed by-law is available on the township website.

The council meeting starts at 7 p.m.
