Taste of the Valley series rolls on in Cobden

Cobden is all set to host the fourth installment of the Taste of the Valley series.

According to organizers, the food and artisan series celebrates the people, products, and experiences that make Renfrew County a unique and vibrant place to live, work, and visit.

Up to 165 vendors are expected on Saturday, Oct. 17 at the Cobden Fairgrounds (10 a.m. until 3 p.m.).

The County of Renfrew says guests can expect shopping, exploring, and connecting with local farmers, food producers, artists, and artisans and a chance to purchase baked treats, handcrafted goods and artwork.

Scott Hamilton, Economic Development Coordinator with Invest Renfrew County, said the Cobden event has become a fall tradition.

Hamilton adds the layout has been expanded this year to include more local vendors.

“Taste of the Valley celebrates not just food, but also woodworking, artistry, and the creative spirit of Renfrew County.”

The series supports local economic development, the county said, by creating opportunities for producers, makers, artists, and small businesses to connect directly with consumers while encouraging residents and visitors to shop local and explore communities.

The final event of the series is Dec. 12 at Renfrew Armouries.
