The Township of Madawaska Valley has proposed changes to some of their fees for 2026 and is looking for resident feedback.
At their Nov. 4 meeting, slight fee increase proposals were made for the building department, recreation, signage and waste management.
The most significant increases are for the planning department.
No changes were proposed to fees for animal control, the cemetery, the fire department, water and wastewater, administrative services like marriage licenses, and parking fines.
The township is asking residents to submit written comments to the treasurer by Dec. 2, with the hope of finalizing changes by Dec. 16 and implementing them starting Jan. 1. The full list of proposed changes can be found on the township’s website.
