Ironman Competition Helping United Way

The Petawawa Ironman Competition will be benefitting a good cause next week.

Entering its 33rd year, the 2 Canadian Mechanized Brigade Group competition runs for two days at CFB Petawawa.

On September 8th, non-competitive participants will be taking to the course with the traditional competition kicking off the day after.

The event is a 50 kilometre course involving a rucksack march, canoe portage, canoe paddle and finally a rucksack sprint.

The events kick off at 4:00am both days from the Dundonald Hall.

All proceeds and donations will be going straight to the Ottawa Valley United Way.
