A number of communities in North Hastings have received money through the Government of Canadas first instalment of the Gas Tax Fund.
Bancroft received over $117,000 in federal funding, while Hastings Highlands received more than $126,000 and Limerick got upwards of $10,000.
Hastings-Lennox and Addington MP Mike Bossio says these types of public investments will help infrastructure, drive economic growth, strengthen the middle class, and build the foundation for an inclusive society.
Bancroft Mayor Bernice Jenkins says the Gas Tax funding will give the town the ability to reinvest in its infrastructure, which will in turn, create jobs and economic advancement, along with giving residents and improved quality of living.
