Those looking for some hockey and fun this Saturday can head on over to Bears Day.
The all-day event will be held at the Paul J. Yakabuski Community Centre in Barry’s Bay.
The Moose spoke with James Cannon from The Barry’s Bay Minor Hockey Association about the day:
“There’s hockey games all day, from U7 all the way to U18.” said Cannon. “There’s a Schedule for that during the day. There’s also a bake sale. They have cotton candy and there’ll be pictures with the Bears mascot. They’re doing the bottle drive throughout the day as well. There’s going to be a table set up and they’ll sort the bottles for those who stop by”
Cannon also noted that a 19+ dance featuring local band Sidewinder will happen that evening.
