Set clocks back, change alarm batteries this weekend: Fire Department  

Daylight Saving Time ends this Saturday night.  

The Madawaska Fire Department says that also means you should change the batteries in your smoke and carbon monoxide detectors. 

Chief Corwin Quade encourages people to use the semi-annual clock-change weekend to test their alarms, too. He says this should be done in, not just homes, but hunt camps and trailers as well. 

The end of Daylight Saving Time means we need to push our clocks back one hour by Sunday morning.
