Canada Day is now less than two weeks away. And Madawaska Valley has some events planned to help the country celebrate its 156th birthday on Saturday, July 1.
Activities will take place at the Barry’s Bay Legion from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. That includes a barbecue and music from Cory Coulas.
There’s also fun stuff at Wilno Heritage Park from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. That includes games, treats and heritage exhibits.
A fireworks show over Kamaniskeg Lake, and viewable from Lakeshore Boulevard, is planned for dusk. But it will depend on whether the fire ban has been lifted by then.
