Brudenell, Lyndoch and Raglan resident accused of minor hockey fraud

The OPP says it has arrested one woman in relation to defrauding a local minor hockey league.

The OPP says the Renfrew County Crime Unit was assigned to the case after allegations arose of fraud that involved the local minor hockey association in Madawaska Valley. Police say as a result of the investigation, a 46-year-old from Brudenell, Lyndoch and Raglan Township was arrested.

The accused has been charged with one count of fraud over $5,000. They have also been charged with money laundering, forgery, and the use of a forged document.

The accused was released and is scheduled to appear in court in Killaloe in September.
