Cheryl Gallant Retains Riding of Renfrew-Nipissing-Pembroke

MP Cheryl Gallant has been reinstated as MP of Renfrew Nipissing Pembroke.

Unofficial exit polls are showing that Gallant won the riding with 52.5% of the vote.

She says she would like to thank her family and said she will work harder for the riding.

In other unofficial results Liberal Rubin Marini came in second with just under 20% of the vote. NDP’s Eileen Jones Whyte came in third with 15% of the vote.

Elections Canada reports that over 61% of registered residents voted in the riding.
