The Moose Hide Campaign is a national movement gaining momentum right now. The campaign is a grassroots movement of indigenous and non-indigenous men and boys who are standing up against domestic violence towards women and children.
Men and boys who choose to pin this brown patch, made of real moose hide, to their clothing, are committing to treat the women in their lives, with respect. Brian Jackson, outreach and operations manager for the campaign states that over 1.2 million moose pins have been given out since the movement’s birth in 2011 and 800 communities have participated in various Moose Hide Campaign events.
