Police investigating suspected drowning at Dam Lake

Killaloe OPP officers say they suspect an 18-year-old from Madawaska Valley drowned in Dam Lake. 

Officers responded to a 911 call at 6:00 PM Saturday involving an unresponsive person found in the shallow waters of the lake. 

Police say they attempted CPR and other lifesaving measures before taking them to the hospital, where they were pronounced dead. 

Police are currently ruling the death as “non-suspicious,” but say it’s still under investigation.
