The OPP wants you to stay off of snowmobile trails if they’re closed.
That’s the message from Killaloe OPP Constable Catherine Yarmel, who says when trails are closed police don’t usually patrol them unless they’re contacted by a snowmobile club about trespassers.
The decision to close local trails for the season came late last week, as Opeongo Snowbirds President Cheryl Reid says the trails are unsafe at this point with lots of rocks and hazards due to lack of snow.
