Three-way intersection re-opens, as construction nears completion

The main intersection in Barry’s Bay has re-opened, after being closed for construction.

The Bay Street-Opeongo Line intersection was closed from Tuesday to Thursday, as Madawaska Valley worked to installed new crosswalks.

Operations Manager Hilary Kutchkoski says the area re-opened on Friday morning, as the work, except for some minor paving and clean up, was done.

The crosswalk project, and earlier work to replace sewer lids on the Opeongo Line, was part of a construction project paid for through a provincial Connecting Links grant.
