A pilot project being tested by the province has Madawaska Valley’s Mayor a bit worried.
The province is looking at having firefighters being able to perform paramedic duties as well. While it won’t affect small municipalities, Mayor Kim Love is skeptical.
Love says the cost to train fire fighters to do paramedic duties would likely been unsustainable for the township.
