The ice on the Madawaska River may not be safe.
That’s according to the President of the Kamaniskeg Area Property Owners Association Ed Kobylka. He says after an observation of the ice it appears it is breaking up and considered unstable near the mouth of the Madawaska River.
Kobylka also says that ice near the northern tip of Kamaniskeg Lake appears to be more stable but not necessarily any more safe.
