Just weeks after getting a new fire truck, the Madawaska Valley Township now has a new plow truck as well.
The truck was presented to the township Wednesday and will replace a 15-year-old truck that the township has been using, which has over 335,000km of use.
The new truck cost the township just shy of $240,000 and is covered under warranty. Operations Manager Hilary Kutchkoskie says the township can likely get another 15 years of service out of the new truck because of how well they maintain their vehicles.

The old truck is being kept as a spare until in case of a breakdown.
