Madawaska Valley Township Not Expecting Flooding This Spring

The Madawaska Valley Township isn’t anticipating any flooding.

That’s according to Operations Manager Hilary Kutchkoskie, who says there are no major flooding issues in the township following the recent warm weather.

He says that they aren’t expecting major flooding like last year because the amount of snow that’s melting isn’t nearly as much as it was last winter.

However, Kutchkoskie also says that the township is more prepared for flooding in the future because of the knowledge they gained from the spring 2017 flooding that hit the Renfrew County.
