Cheryl Gallant will be representing the PC Party in the Renfrew-Nipissing-Pembroke riding in the upcoming election.
This comes after she defeated Mike Coates in a nomination vote to represent the party this past weekend.
For the first time in nearly two decades, PC party members voted for who their candidate would be in the election, with Mike Coates and Cheryl Gallant as the options.

Polling stations were held over the weekend in Barry’s Bay, Pembroke and Renfrew with Gallant coming out victorious, meaning she’ll represent the party in the 2019 riding election.
Gallant has been the MP for the Renfrew-Nipissing-Pembroke riding since 2000.
