After a cold stretch, the mild temperatures may be just what trail groomers need to get the snowmobiling season started.
That’s according to President of the Opeongo Snowbirds Snowmobile Club Cheryl Reid, who says that the extreme cold weather made the snow very dry.
Reid says that with warmer weather, the heavier, wetter snow will help trail groomers.

Reid says that riders are being asked to stay off the trails for now as the base needs to set, but most trails should be given a green light to open soon.
