The payout for Renfrew County residents in the lottery was much higher than usual in 2017.
That’s according to OLG, who says major prizes in the county totaled to over $5.2 million this year. OLG says the total only includes prizes over $50,000 in the last 12 months. In 2016, that number was just $220,000, and the year before that it was $1.5 million.
OLG says that the biggest winner of the year in the Renfrew County was the $5 million winner in Round Lake, while residents in Coe Hill and Arnprior each took home $100,000.
