Body from Fatal October Fire Identified

Police have identified the victim of a fatal fire in October.

Upper Ottawa Valley OPP say that the body of 77-year-old Marion Turcotte was found in the aftermath of a barn fire in Laurentian Valley.

The fire was reported on Zanders Road in Laurentian Valley on October 30^th, but the identity of the deceased was being held pending next-of-kin.

The Ontario Fire Marshall’s Office attended the scene of the blaze to investigate along with the OPP’s Forensic Identification Services. The cause of the fire is still unknown.
