The Madawaska Valley Township is partially refunding an ice rental customer from a rental back in January.
In January, Chris Miller had rented the Paul J. Yakabuski Community Centre ice pad for 9:00pm, but because of severe weather the rental time was changed last minute to 8:00pm. An agreement had been made that because of the short notice, the rental fee would be reduced to 50% as a result.
After the issue came up at Finance and Administration Committee on Tuesday, committee decided to proceed in refunding Miller 50% of the rental fee as Miller is a regular renter at the arena.
