Madawaska Valley Fire Chief Corwin Quade is hoping for a better Fire Prevention Week this year than in 2016.
This year’s fire prevention week starts on Monday, and Quade says that while it has been a quieter year than usual for fires in 2017, the majority of fires start in the kitchen.
Quade is also reminding residents to ensure all outdoor fires are put out properly.
