After nearly 3 months being closed to the public, Simpson Pit Road has been reopened.
The road was closed for culvert repairs at Byers Creek in mid-July, and reopened Friday at 4:00pm.
However, the work on the road is not yet done. Michael Pinet, Manager of Infrastructure for the Renfrew County, says construction will continue for another week or so with temporary lane closures.

Pinet is reminding residents to be mindful of construction workers during these times, and to use caution in construction zones.
