Madawaska Valley Township Finance Committee has taken the next step in creating a new Combermere Recreation Committee.
A motion was put forth to rescind the current committee as it has too few members to be considered a committee of council.
The motion was carried, with the plan to allow residents to create a new committee, and allow members of the previous committee to contribute as well. The township has said it will be promoting to the public to join the new committee.

Councillor Ernie Peplinski will be taking the lead on the new committee, as he resides in Combermere.
