He says long-term care homes and facilities are already having trouble accepting the current influx of seniors in rural communities.
He says serious concerns about the healthcare system’s ability to handle a spike in dementia or Alzheimer’s has also been a topic of discussion.

It comes as recent Census data shows for the first time seniors outnumber children in Canada.
