Local police want you to be careful if you get a call from a loved one or grandchild saying they’re in trouble and need money.
Constable Philippe Regamey says it might not be a loved one, but a caller pretending to be.
Regamey says these are called Grandparent scams, and that you need to know what to do if you get this type of call.

Regamey reminds you to ask yourself if the caller’s story makes sense and ask them questions only loved ones would know.
