The OPP says you should avoid putting out boxes that advertise any new expensive items at the roadside.
If you are recycling, crush up the boxes and avoid having them show out in the open.

Police say you could also have neighbours help you out.
The OPP recommends putting garbage out at the roads in bags and containers to help make it look like you’re still at home.
