Hastings Highlands is extending an invite to other municipal councils in the area to take part in some extra training.
It’s a chance for councillors, new and old, to learn more about policy, codes of conduct and the relationship with staff.
Roles of councillors, media relations and recent changes to municipal legislation would also be a part of the training.

Council was enthusiastic about the training and will wait to hear back from other municipalities who may participate to share the costs.
According to Hastings Highlands Clerk Robyn Rogers the deadline to respond is December 19th with the session slated for January 11th.
