Fire Department Begins Home Inspections for Smoke and CO Detectors

The Madawaska Valley’s Fire Department will be conducting inspections of smoke alarms and CO detectors throughout the municipality.

Fire Chief Corwin Quade says the inspections are voluntary for residents and he’s hoping to check in with at least 100 homes in the next few weeks.

Quade says those conducting the inspections will have  CO detectors and home extinguishers on hand in addition to new smoke alarms.
