The Township of Madawaska Valley isn’t wasting any time in bringing together a steering committee for Canada’s 150th anniversary.
Council voted last night to develop the sub-committee which will fall under the Recreation, Heritage and Culture sector for the township.
In October residents were asked to attend an open-house in council chambers to come up with ideas for the national milestone.

Township staff is being directed to assemble the committee with a call likely to be put out in the next few weeks.
A final open house is slated for anyone interested in attending at the beginning of 2017.
