Police have charged a Madawaska Valley man with assault after responding to a call for alleged domestic violence.
The Killaloe OPP says officers responded to a call near Stafford Street in Barry’s Bay over the weekend and conducted a full investigation.
As a result a 25-year-old Madawaska Valley man has received two charges of assault, including with a weapon.

The accused has an upcoming court date in Killaloe and the name of the man is being withheld to protect the identity of the victim.
