The Ontario government is looking to roll out legislation which aim to help municipalities combat speeding.
While most of the proposed legislation is geared toward larger, built up areas, it does include improvements to community and school safety zones.
It could give municipalities more options when dealing with enforcement and more teeth when dealing with violations.

OPP Constable Catharine Yarmel says speeding is something police have been focusing on, especially with winter around the corner.
The Killaloe OPP has been targeting areas specifically along the Highway 60 and Highway 41 corridors to help cut down on speeding.
