The municipality of Hastings Highlands is applying for provincial funding to help with repairs on Highway 62 in Maynooth.
Council received information that the municipality would be applying for over $1,859,000 through the Ontario Community Infrastructure Fund Top Up.
The funds would be put towards the Maynooth Downtown Highway Revitalization Project, which would help the municipality repair the road, sidewalks, and the sewer.

Repairs to Highway 62 have been identified as a high-priority for the municipality.
The province will notify the municipality if it gets the funding by March, 2017.
