Our local OPP wants residents to be careful of the Credit Card Scam.
OPP detachments across eastern Ontario have received complaints about fraudsters pretending to be from a security division of a credit card company.
The police are reminding you to not give out any information on the phone, including the name of your banking institution.

If you get a call like this ask for a callback number, and which company they are calling from.
The OPP says if you or someone you know has been a victim contact the police.
