Hastings Highlands is still looking into finding a new bank or credit union for Maynooth.
This comes after an announcement from July that the Scotiabank branch in Maynooth would be closing in January.
A report from CAO Pat Pilgrim was presented to the municipal council, outlining different financial institutions that have been contacted as options for the community.

Kawartha Credit Union told the municipality about the possibility of having a mobile banking unit that operates in the town a few times a week.
However, the credit union is still looking into if that option is feasible.
Northern Credit Union has also expressed interest to the municipality, but is requesting that a letter of intent be sent to its CEO.
