At 9:51 PM EDT, Environment Canada meteorologists are tracking a line of severe thunderstorms capable of producing very strong wind gusts and up to ping pong ball size hail. This line of severe thunderstorms is located from Alice to Basin Depot, moving southeast at 80 km/h. Hazard: Toonie size hail and 100 km/h wind gusts. A tornado is also possible. Locations impacted include: Pembroke, Bonnechere River Provincial Park, Bonnechere Provincial Park, Foy Property Provincial Park, Killaloe, Eganville, Cobden, Bonnechere, Round Lake, Indian, Copp, Golden Lake, Foymount, Alice, Silver Lake, Lake Clear, Doré Bay, Little Lake Clear, Rankin and McGrath. Local utility outages are likely. Damage to roofs, fences, soft shelters or trees is likely. Take immediate cover if a thunderstorm approaches. If outside, protect yourself from flying debris and hail. Emergency Management Ontario recommends that you take cover immediately if threatening weather approaches.
