What’s happening in the area this Long Weekend 

Most Government offices around the area will be closed for Victoria Day. 

And from Farmers markets to yard sales to plant sales there is a lot happening over the next few days. 

Both the Bancroft Farmers Market and the Maynooth Farmers Market kick off the season Saturday Morning.

The Barrys Bay Farmers Market starts it’s season Friday from 11 a.m. until 4 p.m.

In Barry’s Bay, Bay Day is taking place with live music, a bouncy castle, vintage cars, sidewalk sales and more at this annual street festival. 

The Combermere Plant sale is taking place from 9 a.m. until noon at the Combermere Craft Cabin.

The Madawaska Valley Community Yard Sale is taking place across the region.  

A multifamily yard sale is also taking place in Maple Leaf. 

The Wildwood Gallery in Maynooth is starting up the season with an opening reception for its show Misfits on Sunday at 2 pm.

 In Fort Stewart the annual Plant Sale in support of the Carlow Mayo Public Library is taking place Saturday form 9 a.m. until 5 pm.
