A program that helps summer students kick start their business ideas in Renfrew County is now accepting applications.
The Summer Company program provides training, mentoring and funding opportunities to help guide students aged 15-29 in starting their own summer businesses.
Through Summer Company youth learn how to “create a business plan, financial management, marketing techniques, customer service, sales and more from entrepreneurial experts and mentors.”
Last summer Barry’s Bay teen Isa O’Brien initiated a lawn game start-up with help from the program.
