“Help us bring the Barry’s Bay Outdoor Rink to life”
This call out comes from Madawaska Valley Township, which is looking for community organizations or groups to create, manage, and maintain ice at the outdoor rink located behind the Paul J. Yakabuski Community Centre in Barry’s Bay.
The township says that the group should consist of a minimum of three to five members and be willing to commit to a contract. They would receive guidance from township staff and use of supplies and utilities, but would ultimately be solely responsible for the initial creation and regular maintenance of the ice surface.
If there is no interested party, there will be no outdoor rink in Barry’s Bay this coming season.
