The next One Tree Open Mic event is Saturday, August 17 and will be raising money to support the Madawaska Valley Library.
Library CEO Natalie Barrington says they are grateful the group has chosen to fundraise for them.
“Donations and fundraisers such as this help the library continue to offer free programs and services to the community. We have so much to offer to residents and seasonal visitors, including our popular book sale, wifi, public computers, work and study space, as many traditional library loans of books and DVDs.”
The evening will take place on the courtyard of Madawaska Coffee in Barry’s Bay, showcasing local talent including poets, singer-songwriters, dancers and comedians.
One Tree Open Mic is a collaboration between Jennifer Stevenson of Dance Oasis and Neil Wright of Madawaska Coffee. The proceeds of the monthly series support different local charitable organizations.
