Counterfeit $20 used in Upper Ottawa Valley

A counterfeit Canadian twenty-dollar bill has surfaced in the Upper Ottawa Valley according to OPP. 

Pembroke police say they are investigating after the bill was used at a business on Pembroke Street East in Pembroke.   

When the manager realized the bill was counterfeit, they reported it to the police on August 1. The bill was seized by police and the investigation is continuing.

Police say that no other recent counterfeit money incidents have been reported locally.
