The Ministry of Transportation began work July 22 on portions of Highway 60.
No work will take place through the village of Barry’s Bay (between Mintha Street and Old Barry’s Bay Road).
The work is located on Highway 60 from Wilno Road (Wilno), to 0.6km west of Aylen Lake Road (roughly halfway between Barry’s Bay and Madawaska). The work consists of culvert repairs in various locations west of Barry’s Bay and asphalt resurfacing.

There will be daily single lane closures (Monday to Friday) along Highway 60 starting July 29.
The contract work is scheduled to be complete by August 2025, with an expected seasonal shutdown between December 2024 to May 2025.
