OPP Looking into Collisions in Algonquin Park

The Whitney OPP has responded to two separate collisions in Algonquin Park.

Police say both incidents happened last Tuesday.

In one case, a Honda Accord hit several guard rails along Highway 60 in the park, which led to a 62-year-old Nepean man being charged with failing to drive in a marked lane.

A hit and run was also reported to the Whitney OPP soon after, which happened in the parking lot of the Canisbay Campground.

A grey dodge van was hit and damaged while it was parked, with the suspect leaving the scene.

The incident is still under investigation.
