Staff members at the St. Francis Valley Healthcare Foundation are thanking a group of residents for partnering to raise money in a loved one’s memory.
The second annual “Lorna Hudder Memorial Golf Tournament,” held in July, raised $2,665 for the organization at the Homestead at Wolf Ridge.
Organizer Pat Pilgrim says Hudder, who passed away in 2019, was a major supporter of local healthcare, which helped him come up with the idea for the tournament.

Staff members say the money will be put towards buying new equipment for St. Francis Memorial Hospital, Madawaska Valley Hospice Palliative Care, and the Valley Manor long-term care home.
